Effective date: September 18, 2026
GarageWiz, operated by GARAGEWIZ LLC (“GarageWiz,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use www.mygaragewiz.com or contact us for garage door service, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our site or requesting a quote, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our quote or contact form, call, or email us, we collect the details you provide, typically your name, phone number, email address, service address or ZIP code, and a description of your garage door issue. We only ask for what we need to help you.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our host records basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, which we use to keep the site secure and working properly. We also use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors find and use our site so we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site; this information is aggregated and is not used to advertise to you. We do not use third-party advertising or ad-retargeting cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy.
How we use your information
We use the information you share to:
- Respond to your request and schedule or perform garage door service
- Prepare and discuss quotes and pricing
- Follow up about your job and answer questions
- Keep records of the work we do
- Operate, secure, and improve our website
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
How we share it
We share information only with the service providers that help us run our business, and only as needed. For example, we use a third-party email service (Resend) to deliver the requests submitted through our form to our inbox, a hosting provider (Vercel) to run the website, and Google Analytics to measure site usage. We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
Text messages (SMS)
When you request a quote or book a service with GarageWiz, we may ask permission to send you text messages about your request and your appointment. If you agree, we use your mobile number to send appointment confirmations and reminders, technician-on-the-way and arrival alerts, and links to your invoice or receipt. You can also reply to those texts to reach our office.
We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented or shared. We share your number only with the service providers who deliver the messages for us, and only for that purpose.
Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or service. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You can also call us at (855) 366-7949 or email service@mygaragewiz.com to be removed.
Data retention
We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to serve you and to maintain our business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see “Your choices” below).
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. That said, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can:
- Ask what personal information we have about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Opt out of follow-up communications at any time
- Opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser opt-out add-on
